About Us

“A SPARK TO LIGHT THE 8TH FIRE”

Mishkiki is the Anishinaabemowin word for Medicine, the spelling and pronunciation vary depending on region and dialect. We have chosen this name for our organization because It is our primary initiative to bring Mishkiki (medicine) to every community and heal the wounds in our society afflicted by the socio-economic conditions caused by colonialism.
We are a non-profit organization based in Toronto, Ontario and our objectives include providing cultural education and inspiration to all people through our Interactive Empowerment Workshops, and initiating social & economic development projects for every community.
Projects include economic consultation and development, art & cultural revitalization, clean drinking-water initiatives, housing initiatives, self-sustainability and renewable resource development, strategic investments and infrastructure management.
Mishkiki is a non-profit organization registered and incorporated with the federal government of Canada. We are an indigenous founded entity.

The Prophesy of the 8th Fire

The people will come to a fork in the road of exsistence. One road will lead to materialism and destruction for almost all living creatures. The other road will lead to a new spiritual age, upon which the indigenous peoples will be standing.
This path will lead to the lighting of the 8th fire, a period of eternal peace, harmony, and a "New Earth' where the destruction of the past will be healed.
